The Plague V - 2026

The Plague returns.

On October 2nd–3rd, we are proud to host the fifth edition of The Plague in Drammen, Norway — a weekend dedicated to classic fantasy card games, great company, and unforgettable play.

As with last year, the event spans two distinct days:

Friday – Sorcery: Contested Realm
Friday is fully dedicated to Sorcery, the game that shares old-school Magic’s soul: hand-painted art, meaningful decisions, and immersive fantasy. Whether you’re a seasoned Sorcerer or new to the game, Friday offers competitive play in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

Saturday – Old School Magic: the Gathering (93/94)
Saturday features our Old School main event, played under Swedish Banned & Restricted rules with Ravenna-style reprints. Six rounds of Swiss will be followed by a dinner break and a Top 8 playoff to crown this year’s champion.

Special Guest – Bryon Wackwitz
We are honored to welcome Bryon Wackwitz, one of the original artists of Magic: the Gathering and a current contributor to Sorcery: Contested Realm. Bryon will be present throughout the weekend for card signings and conversations, offering a rare opportunity to meet one of the artists who helped define the look and feel of classic card games.

Venue
Once again, we gather at Spiralen Café & Restaurant in Drammen — an iconic location that has become synonymous with The Plague.
